Dancing Bear Teaching Lodge is the educational arm of the Healing Arts Center, a holistic facility in Kerrville, Texas.
Dancing Bear Teaching Lodge was created with the help and direction of Germaine Sitting Crow. She is Tankqe’ (Older Sister) to me, and her instructions as part of her teaching is to help the People, share the Medicine and stay on the clock (to do these actions with relentless Intent).
This is an Invitation to join a Community supporting each other walking the “Good Red Road.” This Medicine we’re sharing is Intentionally different from diagnosis, evaluation, prognosis, or a treatment plan. This Medicine was designed to help us explore our inner world, our reactions to the World, free of labeling them. The Intent of this Medicine is to choose to be more in line with what serves us.
Germaine Elaine Stands Fast Sitting-Crow Chinn, Wahca Wastemna Win (Beautiful Aroma Flower Woman) was born in Enemy Swim, SD, July 7, 1929 and completed her life journey on October 12, 2012, in Vermilion, SD. She was a Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate Dakota Sioux Indian.
To me Germaine Sitting-Crow is Older Sister (Tanque’). This relationship was decided by her, to make me Younger Brother (Misu’n). This was a Hunka relationship, meaning – Relative by Choice (adopted). As Older Sister, she has responsibilities to teach and rights to correct.
Fortunately for me she took her rights and responsibilities to heart and was impeccable in her behavior. She was a guide, teacher and unconditionally loving. She guides and teaches even now. Wopila Tanka Tanque’ – (Biggest Thank You Older Sister)
